3 Recent announcements (from October issue)

3.1 New products from dLSoft

dLSoft launches a range of low cost utilities.

The dLSoft staff have created a number of utilities to make their lives easier. Now the company has decided to make these available to a wider audience at very low cost.

The new utilities include:

dLFaxMail – a utility that collects your received faxes and then e-mails them to you, saving paper and ink (because you can delete all those junk faxes before they are printed) and allowing you to receive your faxes wherever you can read your e-mail.

dLRemote Commander – a utility that enables you to run commands on your PC or Server from anywhere using a web browser (it is thought that some staff have backed up our servers while on holiday in Barbados)

dLMonitor – a utility that enables the busy network administrator to be warned by e-mail if any of his machines goes quiet.

Try them out free for 30 days. See dLSoft Utilites on our web site.

3.2 dBarcode.NET updates

All dBarcode.NET products have been updated to correct a bug in the printing option of the sample programs provided with the products. The bug does not effect the components, but does give an unfortunate impression when using the sample program intended to demonstrate the use of the components!  The Help files have also been updated.

3.3 Labels.NET components and AnyLabels

The Labels.NET component and AnyLabels (which is built on the Labels.NET-2D component) had a licensing problem – in that the developer redistribution version of the component did not function fully when distributed. This problem has now been fixed.

3.4 dBarcode.NET Componets for CE

The dBarcode.NET PDF417 component for Windows CE has been updated to overcome a bug in long numeric data strings.

The dBarcode.NET QR Code component for Windows CE has been updated to overcome a bug in the “best” pattern selection for the symbol.

Updated versions of all the above are available from our web site and are free updates.

3.5 dBarcode-2D Developers Kit

The Help file that accompanies this product has been updated to include recently introduced functions.

Testware versions are available from our web site. Users of the earlier versions may upgrade under our normal terms.
