dLSoft started to release a series of Java
classes. This month we release the following 1D classes:
dBarcode Java Class 39/93
dBarcode Java Class 128
dBarcode Java Class EAN/UPC
dBarcode Java Class ITF
dBarcode Java Class 1D Universal

Over the next two
months classes for popular 2D barcodes will be added to the range.

All products supporting
DataMatrix have been updated (again) to correct a bug
which left spurious characters after EDIFACT encodation
ended on a full codeword.
All .NET products
have been modified to allow running without requiring elevated privilege
levels.
The dBarcode.NET –
ITF product has been corrected – it was producing Interleaved
barcode when instructed to generate Matrix 2 of 5.
The dBarcode.NET
EAN/UPC and 128 products have been updated to allow the automatic checkdigit in EAN/UCC 14 barcodes to be displayed in human
readable form.
The instructions
for the Labels.NET products have been amended to described
how to add the components to the Visual Studio Toolbax.
The dBarcode-2D
Developers Kit has been updated so that the CodaBlock-F
barcode type is not reported as Codabar.

2.1 All dBarcode-DLL products have been updated to include
functions that provide device dependent bitmap or device independent bitmap
images to be placed directly on the clipboard. The Visual C/C++ 6 and Visual
Basic 6 sample programs provided with the products have also been updated to
demonstrate a wider range of functionality.
The dBarcode 1D DLLs now have version number 3.15 and the dBarcode 2D DLLs have version number 3.25.
2.2 Some of our 1D
barcode products that permit variable wide/narrow bar ratios (principally for
Code 39 and Interleaved 2 of 5 barcodes) were producing the correct absolute
symbol width only for a bar ratio of 2:1, and were generating incorrect values
for higher ratios. This has now been corrected. The following products have
been updated accordingly:

dBarcode-2k
dLabel-2k

2.3 Aztec and Datamatrix fonts kits: the fonts
included in the kits released in April were not correctly marked as
"embeddable" and so could not be embedded into pdf
documents. This oversight has not been corrected.
