1. Major packaging change

All dLSoft products have now been repackaged to provide a simpler and more
uniform approach to product installation.

The packages on our CDs and web sites now:

a). Provide a single download for testware, single user licence, and
multi-user/redistribution licence version of each product - including
the barcode fonts.

b). The barcode Fonts for Windows range of product now include the Help
system
and instructions which previously had to be download or installed
separately.

All products downloaded from our web sites may now be converted into full
products
by the use of a valid serial number during installation.

Users who puchased a dLSoft product since January 1st 2000 and who wish to
upgrade may obtain a new serial number to be used with the new download
packages by sending their existing licence codes or proof of purchase to
DL Technology.

The following minor updates have been introduced with the new packages:

a) The MSI/Plessey Barcode Font for Windows now has the A-F characters
correctly in place.

b) the dBarcode, dLabel and dIndex products now correctly calculate the
checkdigit
for MSI/Plessey codes containing A-F characters.

c) the "Ignore case" option for barcode scanning in dIndex-32 now works
correctly.

2. Discontinued products

We have also taken the opportunity to replace three of our products with
a single new product which we believe will be more attractive.
Accordingly the following products are no longer available:

dLabel-2D
dBarcode-2D Standard edition
dBarcode-2D Professional edition

These products have been replaced by a single product (dBarcode 2000 see
below)
details of which are available on our web site.
Customers who purchased one of these products since July 1st 1999 may obtain
a
serial number for the new product by sending their existing product licence
codes
or proof of purchase to DL Technology.

3. New products

dLSoft is pleased to announce the release of five new products:

Browser Barcode EAN/UPC
Browser Barcode Aztec
Browser Barcode Datamatrix
Browser Barcode PDF417

to add to our range of Browser Barcode controls announced last month.

These compact Active X controls are designed for client-side creation
of barcode images within web browsers (Internet Explorer 4 or later).
Each product includes the digitally signed control, a digitally
signed CAB file for rapid one time downloading from the customers server,
and detailed instructions for including the control on an HTML page.
