New Active Barcode Components range Each of these products is royalty-free for up to 10,000 distributions. The new range of VB Active-X components consists of: Active Barcode Component - Code 128 Active Barcode Component - Code 39 Active Barcode Component - Code 93 Active Barcode Component - EAN/UPC Active Barcode Component - ITF Active Barcode Component - Aztec Active Barcode Component - DataMatrix Active Barcode Component - MaxiCode Active Barcode Component - PDF417 Active Barcode Component - RSS Each product includes sample source code for VB, VB.NET, C# and MS Access. New dBarcode DLL range The new range of DLL and Delphi components consists of: dBarcode DLL - Code 128 dBarcode DLL - Code 39 dBarcode DLL - Code 93 dBarcode DLL - EAN/UPC dBarcode DLL - ITF dBarcode DLL - 1D Universal dBarcode DLL - Aztec dBarcode DLL - DataMatrix dBarcode DLL - MaxiCode dBarcode DLL - PDF417 dBarcode DLL - RSS dBarcode DLL - 2D Universal Each product includes sample source code for VB, Visual C/C++ and Delphi 5/6 The dBarcode DLL product range will now be the recommended solution for Delphi users (in addition to the dBarcode Developers Kits). Consequently two of our existing products have had minor name changes: Active Barcode Component becomes Active Barcode Component - Universal and Active 2D-Barcode Component becomes Active 2D-Barcode Component - Universal Testware versions are available from our web site, and users of the previous versions may upgrade under our normal terms. -------------------------------------- 2. Packaging changes As a result of the relatively rapidly changes that have been taking place over the last year, which have required frequent product updates, dLSoft products will cease to be packaged with a paper product manual once our current stocks are exhausted. All products will be shipped with a paper "Getting Started" guide and will include the full product manual on the product CD - in Acrobat pdf format, accessible from "Setup" and suitable for printing on A4 or US Letter size paper. This change will enable us to ensure that the product manuals are kept up to date. Recent updates (from June) The following products were updated during May: Delphi 5 and 6 components derived from TImage have been released for the dBarcode developers kits, and the following products have been updated and include source code sample programs: dBarcode-32 Developers Kit dBarcode-2D Developers Kit To provide compatability with Visual Studio.NET the products now include source code samples for VB.NET and C# Active Barcode Component - Universal Active 2D Barcode Component - Universal Aztec Font Kit DataMatrix Font Kit PDF417 Font Kit Universal Barcode Font Kit Barcode Fonts for Windows (all 12 font packs) The Barcode Fonts for Windows packs now include a DLL and an Active-X component, so the dFont Developer kit is no longer required and is withdrawn. The following products have also had updates to correct a bug in the MaxiCode algorithm which produced incorrect barcodes for certain postal codes: Active 2D-Barcode Component - Universal dBarcode-2D Developers Kit Testware versions are available from our web site, and users of the previous versions may upgrade under our normal terms. -------------------------------------- 4. Recent Licence and price changes Licence changes, which came into effect on June 1st. Multi-user versions of the following applications will now include 10 licences. Larger licence numbers are available on request. Upgrading your dLSoft product Upgrades are free of charge with a year of purchase - just download from our web site and use your existing serial number). Upgrading a product that is more than a year old requires the purchase of an updated serial number. Customers who wish to purchase an upgrade to their dLSoft product may do so by contacting their dealer or by contacting DL Technology by e-mail or fax and providing the following information: a) Product name and version b) date of purchase c) name of dealer purchased from d) current serial number.
