1. Major upgrades for 2003

Barcode Macros for Office version 3 now provides macros for 
creating both barcode pictures and font-based barcodes - greatly 
improving its value for Excel and making the product suitable for 
use with Word's mail-merge for the first time. 
In either case the barcode properties may be set from a 
dialog box and the properties can be remembered for future use.

Barcode Server for IIS version 3 now supports PostNet and 
RM4SCC/4 State postal codes.

The Universal Barcode Font Kit Version 3.3 now includes an enhanced 
DLL that allows default settings for barcodes to be set and stored
using a dialog box, greatly simplifying the developer's work in 
generating a user interface. 

ALL Barcode Fonts for Windows font packs (version 3) now include 
enhanced DLLs that allow default settings for barcodes to be set 
and stored using a dialog box, greatly simplifying the developer's 
work in generating a user interface. (Font users should note that
the font names have been changed in this release so that all dLSoft
barcode fonts appear adjacent in a font listing. The improved tools
can be used with older fonts).

Testware versions are available from our web site now, and users 
of the previous versions may upgrade under our normal terms
(see below).

2. Recent updates (from November)

A new release of the PDF417 Barcode Font Kit (v 3.1) adds the 
Micro PDF barcode type to the standard PDF417 type supported 
by the kit.

UFLs for use with Crystal Reports have been added to the
following products:

Aztec Barcode Font Kit (v 3.0)
DataMatrix Barcode Font Kit (v 3.0)
PDF417 Barcode Font Kit (v 3.1)

After a number of customer problems ALL products containing 
Active-X controls have had the product's Setup modified to 
ensure more reliable self-registration. In most cases the product 
has NOT changed - only the Installshield setup procedure. 
This effect ALL font products, all Active Barcode products and 
the two dBarcode developers kits. No version number changes are
involved in this fix.

The dIndex-2k product has had a minor bug fix to prevent its
invoice and POS units from rearranging lists alphabetically!

4. How to Upgrade to 2003 versions

If you have purchased a product within the last 12 months and
wish to have a free upgrade to the current version you need to 
e-mail us and specify the product name, your serial number, 
the name of dealer from whom you pruchase the product and the 
purchase date. We will then send you a new serial number.

If you wish to purchase the current CD (15 UK pounds inclusive)
just e-mail us your existing serial number, credit card details 
and delivery address.

If you wish to upgrade from an older product you can purchase a 
new serial number from our on-line store or any of our dealers, 
or by e-mail or fax to DL Technology.
