Product updates a) New versions of our Developer Kits have been released: dBarcode-32 Developers Kit (v 7) dBarcode-2D Developers kit (v 7) These new versions are based on Active DLLs that replace the previously separate DLL and OCX and may be called from VB, VC or Visual Studio.NET, with many new calls, and include Delphi 6/7 components and an OLE automation server. Each includes the improved Help and installation systems. Users should note that the 2D kit no longer includes the 1D barcodes. (Version 7 is NOT a drop in replacement for version 6. Version 6 will continue to be available to special order) Testware versions are available from our web site, and users of the previous versions may upgrade under our normal terms. b) The licensing terms for the dBarcode-DLLs have been modified and are now the same as the licensing terms for the Developers Kits, i.e. A multi-user/redistributable licence is required to redistribute components of the products. See the updated price list at http://www.dlsoft.com/data/pplist.htm c) Bug fix to Barcode Font - Code128/EAN128 The tools which accompany version 3 of this font have been modified to prevent the brackets around EAN 128 AIs from being included in the barcode. The replacement for version 3 is now available on our web site. Users of the earlier versions may upgrade under our normal terms. -------------------------------------- 2. dLSoft web site The dLSoft web site has undergone a major overhaul during the last month. Any comments from users would be welcome. The site is built entirely with FrontPage and the menuing system is written in javascript using SoThink's DHTMLMenu system. Browsers with scripting disabled will not be able to see the navigation menus. -------------------------------------- 3. Recent updates (from April 2003) New versions of our font products have been released: Aztec Font Kit (v 3.2) DataMatrix Font Kit (v 3.2) PDF417 Font Kit (v 3.2) Universal Font Kit (v 3.2) and the following Barcode Fonts for Windows products (ie all of them) Barcode Font - Codabar (all v 3.1) Barcode Font - Code 11 Barcode Font - Code 39 Barcode Font - Code 93 Barcode Font - Code 128/EAN128 Barcode Font - Code B Barcode Font - EAN/UPC Barcode Font - ITF Barcode Font - MSI Barcode Font - PostNet Barcode Font - RM4SCC Barcode Font - Telepen The fonts themselves now include OpenType font formats in addition to the TrueType and PostScript formats. The packages have also been updated with new installation systems and improved HTML Help systems. New versions of our end-user products have been released: Barcode Macros for Office (version 3.1) dBarcode (version 6.5) dBarcode-2k (version 5.5) dLabel-2k (version 5.5) dIndex-2k (version 5.5) These have been updated with new installation systems and improved HTML Help systems. The new versions dramatically improve the user experience and greatly ease the transition from first installation to productive output. How to Upgrade to 2003 versions If you have purchased a product within the last 12 months and wish to have a free upgrade to the current version you need to e-mail us and specify the product name, your serial number, the name of dealer from whom you pruchase the product and the purchase date. We will then send you a new serial number. If you wish to purchase the current CD (15 UK pounds inclusive) just e-mail us your existing serial number, credit card details and delivery address. If you wish to upgrade from an older product you can purchase a new serial number from our on-line store or any of our dealers, or by e-mail or fax to DL Technology.
