NEW - dIndex-32 Pro dLSoft is pleased to announce the release of it newest product: dIndex-32 Professional. This is a powerfule database system which contains all the facilities of dLabel-32 PLUS powerful barcode scanning facilities (through a keyboard wedge barcode scanner - which can be supplied on request). dIndex-32 enables data in a database to be found, modified, printed, date and time stamped just by scanning a barcode. The dIndex Point of Sale unit provides entry level Point of Sale facilities, include invoice creation or continuous lister printing, stock updating, Customer database search and addition of new customers .... the potentail applications are limitless. Try out a free Testware version now. It can be used without a barcode scanner - although its a lot more fun with one! Beechman & Co are offering support contracts with dIndex-32 Pro. See www.beechman.co.uk for details. -------------------------------------- 2. dLabel-32 and dLabel-2D new release Version 4.3 of each of these products is now available. These versions add batch printing facilities to an already powerful label printing program. Now you can specify how many copies of which label, push the button, and come back when its all over! You can even save the batch list for recall on another day. Users who purchased either products after September 1st 1998 should find that their licence files are still functional. (if not please e-mail us with your existing licence code or original order date and we will send you new codes). Users upgrading from previous versions of dLabel-32 should note that the database field names are now stored in the database rather than in the style file. Consequently it is necessary to open the existing style and rename the fields used (in Database New) in order to transfer the field names. Users with many style accessing the same database file should rename the fields in ONE style, then open the other styles and re-assign elements on their labels to the correct field (using the Source tab). -------------------------------------- 3. dBarcode-32 OCX minor update. A minor update to the dBarcode-32 Developer's Kit OCX component now enables the OCX to be used fully without being visible. Now quite sure why anyone would want this - since the DLL can be called directly to do anything that an invisible OCX can do, but we try to respond to customers' requests. The OCX alone is available from the ftp.dlsoft.com/pub/library, or the complete developer's kit from the web site. Note that this OCX requires version 5 of the developer's kit. -------------------------------------- 4. Barcode Macros bug fix. The Barcode Macros for Office product has had a bug fix to avoid the printing of alternate barcodes from a column in different styles which effected some Excel and Access systems. -------------------------------------- 5.
