New product - PDF417 barcode font dLSoft is pleased to announce another major new product - the PDF417 barcode font kit. This enables PDF417 barcodes to be created without complex programming - just a single call to a DLL to produce a text string which is rendered in the appropriate font. The kit includes TrueType and PostScript fonts, the translation DLL and samples for Visual Basic and Microsoft Office. Testware version is now available for download, and includes samples and source code for VB6, Delphi 5 and Office 97/2000. New product - dLSoft Active Barcode Component The dLSoft Active Barcode Component is the only product needed for adding barcodes to Visual Basic, Delphi, and MS Office applications. This is a powerful single-file component which does not rely on extra DLLs, such as MFCxx.DLL. It can be an ActiveX control or an inserted object. In situ editable or fully programmable. Many developers prefer components which do not rely on the versions of a multitude of other DLLs, such as the MFC DLLs. So we have provided just that product. Testware version is now available for download, and includes samples and source code for VB6, Delphi 5 and Office 97/2000. Pricing details are available from your dealer. ------------------------------------ 3. Great upgrades for dBarcode-32 All versions of dBarcode-32 have been upgraded to version 5.3. This includes the dBarcode-32 Developers Kit. As a result of customer requests the new versions include two major enhancements: a) the wide/narrow bar ratios may now be user-specified (for those barcode types which allow this - eg. Code 39, I 2/5, Codabar, etc.) and b) the barcode size may now be specified by providing the X-unit size (the thickness of the thinnest bar in mils.) Upgrade prices are available from your dealer. Users who purchased version 5.2 can upgrade for free by downloading from our site. -------------------------------------- 3. Package distribution arrangements Since July 1st all package products are being shipped on CD ROM.
